What to expect

The Journey of Your Preserved Flowers

Your flowers carry a day you will want to keep. Before you book, we want you to know exactly what to expect: how the process works, what is normal, and what we can and cannot control. Being honest with you up front is part of the care we put into every piece.

Made by hand, one piece at a time

Every piece is arranged and poured by hand. That means no two are the same, and small variations are part of what makes yours yours. Your finished piece will not be an exact copy of your bouquet. It will be a handmade keepsake made from it.

What changes when flowers dry

Drying changes flowers. Here is what to expect:

  • Color. Bold, deeply pigmented flowers often hold their color. Pastel blooms may soften. White flowers can shift toward ivory or cream.
  • Texture. Some petals become thin, delicate, or slightly translucent.
  • Shape. We preserve flowers as they arrive. Once a flower is dried, its shape cannot be changed.

We will always aim to keep the look of your bouquet as faithfully as we can.

What is normal in resin

Handmade resin pieces are beautiful, and they are also honest. You may see:

  • Tiny bubbles. We work to keep them to a minimum, but a completely bubble-free piece is rare.
  • Small transparent spots on petals. These can appear where a petal was touched, bruised, or handled before it reached us.
  • Small shifts in how flowers sit. Flowers can move slightly as resin is poured.

If we see anything that stands out, we will tell you.

Flower condition matters most

The freshness of your flowers when they reach us has the biggest effect on the result. Flowers that have started to wilt will not look as good once dried.

  • Please ship your flowers within 24 to 48 hours after your event.
  • Until then, keep the bouquet in water in a cool place. Please do not put it in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • Handle it gently on the day, and avoid tossing it if you can.
  • If your flowers arrive in poor condition, we will photograph them and email you before we begin. You can then choose to have us source matching flowers (charged at what we pay for them) or preserve them as they are. Refunds are not available for flowers in poor condition. See Shipping and policies below.

Step-by-step packing instructions are on Sending Your Flowers.

Natural color, by default

Drying can mute a flower's color, so your finished piece may look a little softer than your bouquet did on the day. At this time we preserve flowers in their natural color. We may offer color correction in the future.

Size and fit

Each piece is made to fit the size you choose. Larger blooms may need to be taken apart, or we may use petals and smaller elements, so that everything sits clearly inside a smaller piece.

If you want full-size flowers to be the focus, we recommend choosing a larger piece.

The pieces we make today:

Aging over time

Everything ages, and preserved flowers do too. Over many years, resin can take on a soft, warm yellow tone, and flower colors can fade slowly.

To help your piece last:

  • Display it away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Dust it with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid harsh cleaners.

Your timeline, and why it takes this long

Preservation takes time, and we do not rush it. Your flowers move through drying, design, pouring in layers, curing, and finishing.

Option A: flowers received before December 1, 2026. We will dry and store your flowers before the studio closes for the season, then begin casting in June 2027. Estimated delivery: 8 to 10 months after we receive your flowers.

Option B: flowers received from June 2027. Estimated delivery: 6 to 8 months after we receive your flowers.

We are a small studio of two, Jeo and Wes. We would rather give you a realistic date than a rushed piece.

We reply within 2 business days.
